My Mission

To share the beauty of Mother Nature and contribute to creating a world that is kind to all animals and plants.

母なる自然の美しさを共有するとともに、全ての動物と植物に優しい世界を作るために貢献する。

Atelier Blue Lagoon takes its name from my favourite colour, blue, and the English translation of ‘Niigata’, the prefecture in Japan where I was born: ‘New Lagoon’.

I am actively working as a Japanese language teacher, but having lived in Australia for nearly ten years, I wanted to share the beauty of its majestic nature and the charm of the plants and animals I love so much, so I decided to set up an art shop.

My dream for the future is to establish a home for elderly cats, creating a space where cats with no one to take them in can be loved and cared for until the very end.

The purpose of this art shop is not merely to raise funds to realise my dream.
By donating a portion of the proceeds to animal and nature conservation organisations, I intend to play an active role in protecting the natural world that I hold so dear.

アトリエブルーラグーンは、私の好きな色である青と、出身地である日本の新潟県の英語訳「ニューラグーン」から名付けられました。

私は現役の日本語教師ですが、10年近く住んでいるオーストラリアの大自然の美しさや、大好きな植物や動物の魅力をもっと周知したいと思い、アートショップを立ち上げることに決めました。

私の将来の夢は、老猫ホームを作って引き取り手がない老猫達を最後の時まで甘やかして幸せにする空間をつくることです。

このアートショップの目的は、私の夢を実現するための資金を確保するためだけではありません。
売上金の一部を動物や自然保護団体への募金活動にも充てることで、積極的に敬愛する自然を守ることに繋げていくつもりです。
